    Hi gang,

I’ve searched the forums and can’t find this exact question addressed anywhere. Maybe I’m using the wrong terminology because I can’t imagine I’m the only one wondering how to do something like this.

I’m building a directory for a client who needs dozens of small custom fields that need to be grouped together. I’m able to do this just fine on the More Info tab, but it creates a very long page of fieldsets and fields. How can I move entire fieldsets to their own tabs along with the custom fields grouped with them, or if there is no way to do that, how can I create collapsible fieldsets so that the page won’t be so long by default?

Attached screenshot should help clarify what I mean.

I’m fine with patching in some php…just need some help with what it should be!

    Thanks for any help!

Hi Stephen, you can create a separate tab for each new custom field or fieldset.

When you create the fieldset, the last 2 options are:

    – Show in More Info tab on detail page? : Yes / No (in this case No)

    – Show as a Tab on detail page? : Yes / No (in this case Yes).

Let us know how you went.

    Thanks

Great, guys. Thanks for the help. Got the fieldsets on tabs figured out. Now my question…when I disable the “Profile” tab, none of the tabs default as active when the Detail page loads. How can I force one of them to be open? In this case I want the “More Info” tab to be active. It is currently first among the tabs, and I have renamed it to “Highlights”. Screenshot attached again for reference.

Searched the forums for this one as well and didn’t find others. Again, I may be using lame search terms. Let me know if I should be starting a new thread for this.

    Hi,

searching for “default tab” brought up this: wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/how-to-change-default-tab-from-profile-to-review/

Which has all info needed to accomplish what you want.

Let us know how you went.

    Thanks
