How to populate a directory

    if there its a place where to buy a database complete and ready to be install?

    Hi,

    ready to be imported on our system, I’m not aware of any solution.

    I know there are companies selling databases of business listings, but you’ll have to re-order the purchased data to fit in our sample CSV file.

    Otherwise there are scrapers.

    However we don’t support any of these solutions and we suggest to create your own database whenever possible.

    Building a directory with data purchased, means using duplicate data someone else is using already, which will make your work of indexing in Google almost impossible.If you are not visible in Google, your website is almost invisible to anyone.

    told you already, we suggest to create your own database with unique content whenever possible.

    Do you have any info or tutorial how to start and or create the database from the beginning also can you tell me from where I can download a copy of the Dummy databese so I can have an idea.

    The dummy data can be loaded from the General section of the GD settings menu.

    As for tutorials on starting and creating databases you need to first come up with a distinctive niche and research the market to see if anybody is already doing something in that area and then work like crazy to get the listings information and populate your site. There is no easy one button download to create a successful directory business.

    That’s my 2 cents.
