How to remove the search bar from category archive pages?

I was wondering how I can remove the search bar that appears in the body of category archive pages. I’m putting one just after the header instead. I couldn’t find a setting for that, but I did find some css on an old post but couldn’t figure out how to apply it to categories correctly. Here is what I came up with:

body.geodir-archive .search_text {display:none;}

Am I close? 😛
