how to translate these items?

I’ve installed the dutch language pack and checked the files with po-edit, but there are several words that can’t be translated in the po file:
On the homepage for example “Get directions, pinpoint, search for, near etc etc”
On the details page there is a link to send a mail, the directions, the email form itself.

How can all this be translated? Do I have to go through all the files?
