I tried upgrading my GeoDirectory in wordpress with “upgrade now” and got an errors.

Then I closed my browser and tried going to my website/admin but it only open up a browser and asks me to choose the location where to download a file by the name of “download”.

So, I can’t access my website at all. Do you have any suggestions on how to back up my get it working again. What files can I replace to get my site back up?

Visit http://www.partycoop.com, so you see what I mean.
Does this mean I have lost everything?

I backed up my website and database to my last back up copy of April 20th and I was still having a problem. Then I called my hosting and they upgraded my PHP, I think they said PHP7 and not it works fine.

So, I will properly update to Geodirectory 2.0 following the directions at: https://wpgeodirectory.com/upgrading-to-v2-a-practical-step-by-step-checklist-with-video/

Are these the latest instructions to upgrade to Geo Directory V2?

    Same problem again.
I followed the upgrade video. Saved everything and disabled the the cache plugins, the Code Snipit and all the CD plugins.
The I used the “Update Now” button to upgrade the GD Directory to V2.
Then I selected all the plugins and updated them all at once.

Everything seemed to have gone right, all the new versions show on green with a screen refresh, but now that I try to click on “activate” any of the newly installed addons, I get the same problem I had before the website resolved into a down load option and it asked me where do I want to download the file.

I try to visit my website from another browser instance and it is the same it goes into a dowload option asking where I want to save the file. Just visit my site and you shall see: http://www.partycoop.com

Ok, So I called my hosing provider again and they told me that my PHP selector keeps on changing.
They showed me where the PHP selector is at an each time I install or activate on of the GD components my PHP selector changes to the Default 5.6 PHP.
And I need to keep on changing that the .PH file extention will be processed by PHI 7.1 and clicking on Update. Why do I have to keep one doing this over and over again? it is pretty anoying. See attached image.

Also, my website front page is completely gone, the search selections are gone, I hope next steps help me restore it.

That is a server issue, please check with your host why that happens. GD updates do not affect that.

    Thanks

OK, I will check on my hosting side and see if they can do anything about it, but I find it very interesting that I can update other plugings and I don’t get that problem only when I update or install the GeoDirectory themes and updates.
