Hi
just wanted to give some feedback on my weekend project…So i have a few things bought already but so far im keep going on with GD for sure 🙂
Installed Superlist theme and instead of their stuff (that has some major flaw in the setup) i installed GD to add the functions. It looked great and worked out of the box. Only the widget areas didnt show up as available to edit and the main page widget titles where off…probably a bit of css and sorted.
Anyway it became my little frankenstein project. got back to using gd with GDF and customising it from 0 knowing what is where now. There are certain design elements i would add to the GDF theme out of the box for sure.
-inline logo or original option
-menu location (left right)
-nicer modal login/register (keeping the wp social login compatibility)
-map categories (show / hide)
-Menu items ; menu with submenu items should be clickable anywhere not just on the arrow on the end on mobile menu. It was reported to me from a few test user they were confused why it isn’t working.
-nicer user panel(widget)
other recommendation:
categories page !! current way for all the themes and plugins i see is based on a small scale directory for limited amount of categories. but if we have 50-70 main categories and 400 subcategories there is no way to display that anywhere. and real directories do need subcategories to work on a larger scale :/
Hope to see these improvements soon 🙂
