Images not displaying consistently in search

When I do a search (from GD home page using search in sidebar) the place images are not displaying. The picture surround box is there – just not the picture itself (no red cross btw).

If I refresh the page they sometimes appear (mostly in Google Chrome) but often not.
If I can get them to appear, when I do other searches they are visible in those.

If I go back to our GD home page and redo the search they are sometimes hidden and sometimes display.

Shutting down browser and restarting and/or clearing the cache and restarting and then redoing the test does not seem to produce consistent results – they are sometimes hidden and sometimes display.

And the search I’m using most of the time is using postcode TQ10 9AU

I have tried this on Google Chrome, Firefox and Edge on one laptop and on Firefox and Internet Explorer on another and on Google Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer on another in a different public location.

ALL browsers result in images being hidden at some point. Google Chrome perhaps less that Edge, less than Firefox (worst).
