When I attempt to import the sample CSV file (the place_listing.csv file you get when you click ‘Download Sample CSV’ on the import page), I get the error:

3 / 3 item(s) could not be added due to blank/invalid address(city, region, country, latitude, longitude).

This might be a silly question but do you have those address fields filled in? 🙂

I was trying to import GeoDirectory’s own demo file so I should hope so 😛

Apart from that, it was after trying my own import file, and having the same problem, that I tried the demo file, and I am sure that my own file had the fields filled in.

Can you confirm that you see the same issue?

Can you post a copy of your CSV file and review https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-export/ please.
And if you post your URL and admin details in a private reply we can have a closer look at what your problem might be.

Hi – here’s a copy of the CSV file: http://dt.btmm-dev.com/wp-content/plugins/geodirectory/geodirectory-assets/place_listing.csv

I feel as though there is a bit of mis-communication occurring, and I apologise if that is the case, but I would be grateful if someone on the dev side could answer the following question:
When you test the demo csv import file that comes with the plugin, do you get the same error as me? This was supposed to be a bug report and I am not clear on whether the team has confirmed that it is in fact a bug or not.

Sorry for the misunderstanding, but we automatically thought that this was a problem just for you because we do not get any errors when uploading the sample one, but only after we import a few dummy listings because that creates the required categories.

I tried your CSV file without any errors, but I have the required categories already in my test site.
If that is not the problem for you, we will need your admin details to check, you can add them in a private reply.

The sample CSV you were trying to upload has locations outside your default location, and you do not have the Location Manager addon installed. So it rejects the listings.
As soon the addresses are changed to fit your default location, it uploads OK.

PS: See the tip (in green) at https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-export/#mandatory
