    Hi,

I created a lot of custom fields, then did an export listings to get the file format (it included all my new fields, while the “sample import file format” didn’t). I generated an import file using this format (blank post_id, etc) as specified. However, it fails to import with this message:

    Total 49 item(s) found.
49 / 49 item(s) could not be added due to blank/invalid address(city, region, country, latitude, longitude).
49 / 49 item(s) could not be added due to blank title/invalid post type/invalid characters used in data.

Originally I was trying to import a large file, now I’m just trying to succeed with a small sample (49 items).

I can PM you the file if necessary.

Never mind, I see now I probably need to pre-import/create all the cities/region/counties ahead of trying to import the listings. I assumed it would sort of create those as it discovered new ones in the data.

    I successfully imported my posts.

However, I have another question. Is there a way to use externally referenced URLs to images instead of uploading them to my server? I know I could create a series of custom fields and import the URLs of images, but then I would need to edit the templates/widgets to handle them. I would rather be able to make use of the widgets/templating that GD has done with regard to images. Is there a way to import into the IMAGE fields but have them be external references?

    Thanks

    Hi,

It is not necessary to create locations in advance, normally the locations are created when importing new listings. Did you enable ll Google Maps API when creating the Api Key?

Images must be uploaded on your server, I’m sorry.

    Let

    Thanks
