Import some news customs fields

Hello,
I have just entered 250 sites with custom fields.
Now I would need to add 2 more custom fields.
But I do not want to change the 250 cards.
How do I use the data import to fill only these two fields?

If I understand correctly, I create the customized field (example: number of inhabitants, nbr_persons), I do a complete export, I fill the column in Open Office, I register in CSV, and I make an import by choosing :
Update the list if the file with post_id already exists
or
Ignore the list if the file with post_id already exists.
??

The best way would be :

1) create the new custom field

2) edit just 1 listing with the new custom field (that way the new column will appear in the exported CSV file)

3) export the listings and edit them

4) import back with this option: Update the list if the file with post_id already exists
