Importing events in bulk from an API

Hi,

I’m trying to set up events to import automatically (and refresh daily) from an events feed API. The way we ran it before with another events plugin was uploading through WPAllImport to map the event data into the relevant custom fields and setting cron jobs to refresh the data nightly.

I know GeoDirectory doesn’t work with WPAllImport so I had a developer working yesterday on trying to build a custom plugin to connect the API to the Events fields in GeoDirectory but he couldn’t do it.

Does anyone have any suggestions for how we might be able to do this? I know there’s a CSV importer for the core plugin, so I’m wondering if that might help somehow – not sure if this works for events?

The cron job / daily refresh of the import is crucial though, so a manual upload solution won’t work. Happy to look for a developer experienced with GeoDirectory to do this work, but want to get a feel for whether it’s going to be possible first.
