Insert excerpt text

    Hi

    I would like my listings to show the text in my excerpts. At the moment my GD Archive Item page has [gd_post_content key=’post_content’ limit=’20’ max_height=’120′] which is showing the first 20 words of the detail listing. However I would like it to show the text I have in the excerpt for each listing (which varies in word length from listing to listing). Is it possible to have this instead of the first 20 words from the listing?

    GD Post Content can show the value of any textarea, just use the options to choose which textarea.

    If you want to show a text field, then use GD Post Meta.

    None of these seem to allow the option to insert the excerpt text that I have in the attached example?

    No, GD doesn’t use the excerpt. Try using a GD custom field instead.

    I’m having the same issue. I can’t believe it doesn’t use excepts natively.

    So I’ve added a custom field, but now I’m not sure of the shortcode to use to display instead of [gd_post_content key=’post_content’ limit=’60’]
