I tested my base list of 500 listings and the import worked great.

Next we started filling in columns like post_content and when we upload we get an error “87 items could not be uploaded due to blank title/invalid post type.”

With hundreds and eventually thousands of entires is there a list or excel function/command to remove all invalid characters before we upload.

There’s no way to know which ones failed so finding them means deleting and starting over or downloading and comparing..

just hoping someone has some tips to solve this

    Hi,

if the collation of the CSV file is correct, any charachter should be accepted, unless you are copying and pasting text from a file with a different collation.

We would need to look into the file that is giving you problem to tell you more.

    Let us know,

    Thanks

It’s taking time but I’m finding special characters for things like trademark, registered mark, degree symbols that are copied from a website to csv.

It’s “hunt and peck” now but any ideas for cleaning a list would be great! 🙂 I’m re-looking at how we got the post content.
