Under Settings – default location lat/lang is a comma based float.
In Places you use a dot based float for lat/lang.

Please use Lat/Lang with just one approach.

    Hi Dirk,

It should all be decimal based (dot), i dont see comma used anywhere?
Please let me know how to replicate (though maybe this is related to your other problems)

    Thanks,

    Stiofan

Do you set any encoding or language settings?

Those inputs are type=”number” so that should never be allowed and its not standard.
Again, there seems to be something funny going on with your install, can u link me to the page where u see it as commas?

Its not like that by default, its not like that in my settings, its not like that in ur settings…? It should not even be possible to save the form with a comma. Do you have a translations browser extension or something, i am guessing that is the main cause of your problems.

    Did u try from mobile?

I tried from my Mac Notebook. And here it is working.
But also on the Mac it is comma based in default location…
I have to figure out what the problem on the PC is. I already installed english language settings. Also I installed a chrome portable version. But still no success. I need to think a little bit, what could be the problem.

Enclosed the default location from my Mac Book.

I also tried from my iPhone, but also here it is not working.

I don’t have any translation thing on the computers or within the browsers.

BTW: the input field in “Add places” is type=”text”. In GD – Settings the input type is type=”number”. But here the comma based number is just displayed as comma based.
The value of the field is dot based.

I guess it has something to do with the hoster. On my local XAMPP installation it is working fine.
Let me check with another server.

I think we should use this thread here for the difference in the input field. I would prefer to have a consistent approach.
So if you use in the settings input type=”number” then this should also be used in the “add place” form.
