    Dear support team,
I’m currently setting up GeoDirectory on a website based on the “Simple Article” WordPress theme.

While the main functionality seems to work nice (also with addons I bought), I have some layout issues.
1.) My main problem: The GeoDirectory pages are full screen, while my theme is set up to be boxed.
2.) In my theme, I have content elements always on white background boxes, that lie on a background image. The elements on the GeoDirectory pages lack the white boxes, you can always see through to the background image, which makes everything look a little chaotic.

Could you please give me a hint how I can ajdust the GeoDirectory files, so that the design fits to the rest of the page?
(Links will follow in a private reply…)).
Thanks a lot for your help – relly cool plugin, by the way. I’m really looking forward to get it to work 🙂
    Tom

    Hi,
You are seeing that behaviour because the content output by the GD plugin is not within the HTML wrappers of that theme, so the correct styling is not being applied.
You can use hooks & filters to change the way GD content is output, so it uses the same HTML as your theme.

You can see examples in one of the compatibility packs that have already been created > http://wordpress.org/search/geodirectory+compatibility+pack

If you get stuck, you could submit a request for your theme to have a pack developed. I also provide a paid service to build these if you need it quickly.

    Hi Tom,

Thanks for the file, i will take a look and let you know the best way forward.

If you require a child theme rather than a plugin, then yes, i can do that too. Usually it will be just enough styling to make everything look right, rather than a whole new design (like i did for Avada). I could of course deliver something completely bespoke – but that would of course be more expensive.

I’ll try and look at it this evening and let you know 🙂

    Hi John,
    perfect, thanks.
“just enough styling to make everything look right” would be sufficient, of course.
    Cheers,
    Tom
