[LEMP] stack and GD Booster

    Dear paolo,

    I know from the ground work and the clean codes your TRY to take GeoDirectory to a new level of page speed and top performance but there is somethings need more clarifications like:

    Many of us use VPS take for example digitalocean so if we setup a droplet with [LEMP] stack and enable all the server level caching like (Nginx Cache- Opcode Cache – Object Cache) are we still going to need to GD Booster.

    Another word what is the best setup for GeoDirectory if we use [LEMP] stack and GD Booster.

    Hi,

    the demo on wptry.it runs on a digital ocean droplet with both Gd Booster and server side caching. Nginx used as reverse proxy works just fine, memcache as well, the only thing you need to turn off is the Varnish cache that is not compatible with PHP Sessions. (unless you are not using MultiLocations, in that case you could even keep it on.)

    You can even use GeoDirectory and Gd Booster on servers running with Nginx as webserber (much much faster than apache) with fpm fastcgi. Which is what we are using on this server.

    That would be the ideal solution, but it really requires a server admin that knows what he’s doing.

    Hi,

    you have tested the main site where geodirectory and gd booster and not even installed.

    You should be testing the demo http://wptry.it/try-geodirectory, but with the wpdemo plugin on, it will be a useless test.

    Cloudways offer 1 month free trial if you want to test their services.
