i have been working with geodirectory for the first time and i am having a little trouble.
In the settings there is an option to limit search distances, it is currently set to 40 miles.
I have a search box on a few pages and let’s say someone searches “London” in the near box it will display the place with “164 miles” as it is in chester. I am confused why it is doing this.

    Hi,

that setting is only for the /location/me/ page (geolocation), not for search.

In this case you are searching in the “Everywhere” location (at least that looks like it) and it is normal that returns any listings from any location, unless you limit the search radius in GeoDiretory >> General >> Search >> Limit squared distance area to X miles (helps improve search speed).

What value do you have in there now?

    Let us know,

    Thanks

    Hi,

can’t find a reason for your website to be doing this.

I’ve ask to the developers to track down the problem for us and let us know,

    Thanks for your patience,

    Hello,

There seems to be a plugin messing with the query, it’s not even taking the location into account.

    This would be my suggestions
    #1 update all GD pluings

if the problems is not resoled:
#2 try disableing non GD pluigns one by one untill resoled

    if not resolved
#3 provide ftp and we will take a look.

    Thanks,

    Stiofan
