Hi,
I have setup linked to business for Events + one additional CPT.
Both are linked to gd_place -CPT.
I have configured “Linked events settings” under Geodirectory > Design > Details.
CPT addon, gd_place is set to “Linkable From” myCustomCPT
…myCustomCPT is set to “Linkable To” gd_place.Now, I have discovered that gd_place will show a tab for either Events or myCustomCPT but not both and it seems to favor events. If no registered Events are linked, then the myCustomCPT tab appear but when a linked event is registered the myCustomCPT tab disappear but the events tab appear instead.
Grateful for help with this, thanks!

It seems you have linked one CPT(gd_place) with multiple CPTs(gd_event & gd_vinresa).
But as far current feature of linking CPT working, one CPT is linkable to only one CPT. one CPT can’t linkable to more than one CPT, that’s why it shows only one linked CPT tab on detail page.Let us know.

November 4, 2017 at 10:29 am #404128Thank you Kiran,
Could you please give some advise on how to proceed with this.
We really need to gather linked items for different CPT:s from gd_place.
Would it be a major customization to allow for more than one linkable CPT?
…if we manually can specify in the code what CPT:s to look forThanks!
November 4, 2017 at 11:58 am #404134Hello,
Linking multiple CPTs to gd_place requires lots of customization.
For little customization we provides snippets but this requires lots of customization, so i can’t able to provide you snippet. So i think you should have hire developer to implement this.Kiran
November 4, 2017 at 3:02 pm #404146Ok, I understand
Trying to think of other ways:
Would it be very hard to customize the “Popular Post View widget” (placed on details sidebar) to include one more argument…only show posts that has the same author as the currently viewed post. Thanks!
November 4, 2017 at 3:21 pm #404147Hello!
Here is the gd_listings shortcode that has the post_author parameter:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-shortcodes/#listings
Let us know how it goes
November 4, 2017 at 3:22 pm #404148…or perhaps even better, an additional argument could be:
only show posts where geo_dirlink_business has the same value as post_id of current post? Thanks!
November 4, 2017 at 5:33 pm #404163Hello!
Good idea, indeed!
Many many more shortcodes will be available with GeoDirectory V2, and we will be sure to consider linking between posts.
V2 dates yet to be announced, but work is happening right now!
If you want to try adding one yourself now, this is the thread where the post_author filter was conceived: https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/author-parameter-in-shortcode/
Let us know how it goes
November 4, 2017 at 7:09 pm #404171Thank you Alex!
That is really powerful, I´m pretty sure I can make this work with post_author filter and gd_listings shortcode
…I believe we posted at the same time earlier by the way
Looking forward to V2, sounds great!
Thanks!
