Lisitngs on other pages WITHOUT shortcode

    Hello,

    I am trying to echo the listings on other pages via a custom template.

    I dont want to use the shortcode way, as I need to edit the code slightly.

    I have tried copying the listing-listview.php file, but nothing shows up.

    Am I missing something?

    Hi,

    copying listing-listview.php in a page template will do nothing unless you also create all custom queries.

    Same as you copy archive.php in a custom template and use it in a page, it will return nothing unless you create a custom WP QUERY.

    I asked to the developers to give you few more pointers after the week end.

    Hi Richard,

    If you want just customize template then copy listing-listview.php in your custom template. See: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/customizing-geodirectory-templates/

    If you want to display listings on other pages without use of shortcode, then you can display listings by using “Popular Post View” widget there.(In this case you can use custom template by copy widget-listing-listview.php into your theme templates or you can filter it via via hook “geodir_template_part-widget-listing-listview”)

    If these are not that you talking about then let us provide detailed explanation. It will be more helpful if you provide screenshots.

    Hey Kiran,

    I copied the widget-listing-listview.php into a custom template, and it just shows this

    “No listings found which match your selection.”

    Is there anything else I need to include?

    The way you are customizing listing view template is incorrect. See steps given here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/customizing-geodirectory-templates/ how to customize listing view templates. The geodirectory templates should be in YOUR-THEME/geodirectory/ directory.

    Whe are you not using [gd_listings] shortcode on this page to show listings on this page?
