Listing email address field not converting over

    Hello,

    Recently all of my listings have been coming in with the email address field left blank. The email field is a required field, so as an admin I can’t publish without it. And when I test my directory to create a new account I see that the email field is marked required as well, so why is the email address not coming over in the back-end for my listings? Was there a bug in the directory that caused this? Want to make sure I get it fixed so it doesn’t keep happening again.

    I added a test listing and the email field is saving as expected.

    How are you seeing the issue?

    The email field is filled in that listing.

    It is a required field, so it cannot be left blank. If you are able to do that somehow please tell us how you did it and we will take a look.

    The field is not filled automatically. It must be filled by the person entering the listing.

    The add listing page appears to be working as expected.
    Can you see a problem there?
    Are you able to submit a listing without email?

    Did you submit an email? I looked at the listing you submitted and it’s appearing blank for me. See screenshot.

    Can you go in on the admin side and see your submitted listing? Is email showing up there for you?

    I did not submit it. I could not submit it without an email.
    Maybe that is what is happening is you are seeing the drafts, incomplete submissions. Those might not have email.

    If these drafts are getting confused with new submissions from users then you can set new listing status to pending review.

    Draft listings that have not been submitted should be deleted automatically by WordPress built in functionality.
