Hi,
If I can display listings by category number, is there also a way to display by Tags?
[gd_listings post_type=”gd_place” category=”29″ layout=”2″ post_number=”10″ character_count=”100″ list_sort=”high_az”]
For example, show all listings with the tag ‘restaurant’.
Is there a page in the docs that might show all the possibility of layouts? (ie. layout=1/2/3) or how many variables I can add to that code?
Thx for your help!
June 25, 2016 at 8:26 am #215700Sorry, but you cannot display by tags.
Here is more info for the shortcode.
You can link to a page with all listings with the same tag in a CPT like this:
yoursite.com/CPT-slug/tags/tagname, for example
https://wpgeo.directory/attractions/tags/brewery/June 30, 2016 at 2:26 pm #218982I need to list a few listings that all have different Categories.
Is there a way to list one by one.
Do you have the shortcode for one listing? Then I can add the ones I choose to a certain page.
For example there’s a shopping center and I want to show all the businesses in there … there are multiple Place Categories but all can have a Place Tag in common.
Any advice? Thanks!
June 30, 2016 at 6:31 pm #219168Hi,
I added a task for the developers to add the TAG parameter to the GD Listings shortcode.
Hopefully they’ll find the time to add it for the next version.
We’ll let you know asap.
Thanks

it’s already included in the development version if you wish to test it: https://github.com/GeoDirectory/geodirectory
It will be available from the next release.
Thanks

we don’t provide customization services, I’m sorry. I think you can find very good developers at codeable.io. I can’t suggest anyone in particular at the moment.
That is correct , if you are not using GD as your home page, the GD-home is useless. You should use the location page as your directory home page, you can rename its title and slug directly.
You can remove all add listing links and disable the option to add listings in gd >> design >> navigation.

Thanks

July 27, 2016 at 3:33 pm #234150Hi, did the new version come out already where I can use the tags to create listings?
Will I be able to just update it thru the WordPress interface? Thx.
July 27, 2016 at 7:02 pm #234293Hi,
yes we just released all new versions, make sure to update both the core plugin and all add-ons.
If you are using one of our themes, make sure to update that too if a new version has been released.
Thanks
