Hey guys!
First, I did try reading through some of the support docs, and either the other people didn’t have the same error, or I couldn’t tell due to hidden content.
Second, my location page doesn’t have the right zoom and the posts are listed by a featured/recommended order.
Here’s the page: https://www.cigarscore.com/location/near/me/35.1536575,-106.49950039999999/
I’ve tried resetting to the default short codes, and the problem was still there.
Zoom: The map’s zoom level is either the entire globe, or it’s too close and in the wrong area.
Sorting: the listings are sorted by distance, which is nice, but I want my paying customers to be shown first.
Also, the default short codes in the GeoDirectory settings page show short codes with ‘xyz’ and the new shortcode builder shows them with “xyz” – the parenthesis are different and I don’t know which one is the right one.
Thanks all!
December 10, 2019 at 11:40 pm #520860Hello,
On your Location page, you can use any combination of GD Listings to show listings. You can even set them as featured only. However, the sort order will always be distance, nearest first, just like near search results.
For shortcodes, either ” or “” will work.
For the map zoom, that is usually best left to automatic, as it will zoom automatically to include all locations, with the center of the map being the center of the locations returned.
If all the locations are in the west side of the radius, the zoom would seem to be off center, yes.

This link (https://www.cigarscore.com/location/near/me/35.1536575,-106.49950039999999/)
has 6 listings on it, all within 24 miles of my GPS location. However, the map shows the entire western half of the United States. The zoom is set to “5”. Whenever I changed the zoom level to “0” or auto, it shows the whole country.

Adjust the radius in the search settings.

Maybe set it for 20? 40?
If that isn’t the issue then please write back with WP Admin and we will check it out.
December 17, 2019 at 4:18 pm #521964That didn’t fix it. I also updated to the latest release of GeoDirectory and cleared my cache.
I’ll post login credentials below.

Do we have to pay for Google Console or Google Cloud to get full functionality from GeoDirectory?

Issue has been fixed. There was issue in validation in longitude value with minus sign(Ex: -106.). We have fixed this issue and it will be in next release.
Please apply this patch https://github.com/AyeCode/geodirectory/commit/2cd2b4abf5c5e697caa05674067571a8f6a2858b
OR
Provide FTP credentials again because FTP credentials are working fine but FTP account does not have access to public_html(WordPress root) folder, it shows empty directory. Please provide access to WordPress root directory to the FTP account.Regards,
