Hi, I’m bringing up this issue for the second time, cuz I never heard back the first time.

Ever since I’ve installed the Location plugin, my home page map looks like the following:
    (Nothing but oceans…)

To get U.S. map back (which I had before) I always have to go to ‘CHANGE LOCATION’ menu and click my way thru … my question is how to make U.S. map default for the home page? Plz help.

    Thanx.
    Moose

    Hi Mical,

Could you please try adjusting the zoom level of the GD > GMap – Home Page and see if it helps? Also, enable the “Map Autozoom”. Check the attached screenshot for better understanding. If that doesn’t work, please share WP temp admin access to your site so we can take a better look. You can post the details here using the private reply option below.

    Thanks!

Hi Kor, I understand about the auto zoom setting. But I’m trying to make the U.S. map look like this:

    http://dan.devhtmlfive.com/location/united-states/

The whole map of the U.S. visible on the front page. That’s what my client wants … but I just cannot make it the default view … can you help?

I’ve created an Admin user for you guys here (private reply)…

Thanx for all your help …

You have several options, and can choose the one that works best for you:

    1. Set the default location to the center of the USA, and then adjust the zoom level on the home page map to show at the zoom you want, then adjust the Multilocations center to redirect the user to the default location on first time load.

    2. Add listings through the USA so that the whole map shows, then leave the Multilocations setting at the default with no redirect, and leave the Home page map widget with Autozoom.

#2 is recommended, but some members have chosen #1 for special cases.
