login redirect using dashboard widget

I have a new user that was having problems logging in with user credentials. I then created a new user2 thru the main site in multi-site. After the new user2 was created I went to the super admin dashboard and deleted the first user name she used. Moving the data to the new user.

Now, we again tried to have her login using the dashboard widget on the home page. Attempt after attempt redirected her to the whatshappeningtoday.com/gd-login. Rather redundant.

Then, I had her try to login from the /gd-login page trying to see if she could even login in. I had her clear her history and try again. What could be causing this login redirect problem and login failure.
