Started a new topic here as it got lost in another one I posted about about Avada issues.
I have Avada (latest version I bought yesterday) installed and the compatible packs from here. Site will not load AT ALL in IE8… instead it reloads on loop until it gives an exception message and displays nothing.
In IE 9 all formatting is lost. Header is green, menu wrong and other issues.
Chrome: Perfect
IE 10: Perfect
Firefox: Perfect
Safari: PerfectLast month alone 887 people visited my website with IE8 and 1,454 people with IE9 so this is a real issue for me going forward
Site can be viewed at http://www.ChildcareFinder.ie
Thank you for looking

October 29, 2014 at 11:00 am #19936Does your site work in IE8 & IE9 with our plugin disabled?
October 29, 2014 at 11:02 am #19938I have alot of plugins from GeoDir John… which plugins are you talking about exactly?
October 29, 2014 at 11:17 am #19941Sorry, i meant the compatibility plugin. I have seen lots of threads about Avada problems with IE8 & IE9, so i was just trying to narrow down the problem and see if you get the same issues without the compatibility plugin.
October 29, 2014 at 11:31 am #19944I disabled it… tested on both… same problems… will not load but repeating re-load attempts on IE8 and colours etc all wrong on IE 9
Activated again
Thanks
October 29, 2014 at 11:39 am #19948Ok that’s one out of the way then.
I know it’s a live site so this is always difficult, but the best way to get to the route of the problem is to deactivate all the plugins and add them back one at a time until you find the culprit.
I would start by deactivating all the plugins and switching to the parent theme, then add main GeoDirectory plugin followed by additional plugins, and finally switch back to the child theme.October 29, 2014 at 11:40 am #19949John,
I will try this later… the site is actually not “live” yet but is under development…. so I should get trying this and revert

October 29, 2014 at 12:35 pm #19960Yes, I have 2 windows boxes…. one with IE8 installed and one with IE9 installed… and a laptop with IE10 which is working fine
October 29, 2014 at 12:45 pm #19961ok can u try this, can u via ftp create a new folder called plugins.bak and copy all plugins from the plugins folder there, then try refreshing the front end (not back end) this will disable the plugins but not lose any settings.
If it is still the same then it’s an avada problem if not we can look further.
