Hello,
I have been researching the 500 error on the front page map and a few other areas of my site.
This appears to be an ongoing problem for users on the forum. Many comments say there is an issue with the server or hosting. I noticed the size of the URL for JS as well as a growth in the nodes and listeners. The URL on my site sits at 16,766.
Here is a video of the error after installing Woocommerce. As you can see the url “http://todospr.com/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?action=geodir_ajax_action&geodir_ajax=map_ajax&ajax_action=cat&cat_id=4,38,330,343…&search=&gd_posttype=gd_place” gives a 500 error. I have tested this with multiple plugins including woocommerce, popup creator, caldera forms etc.
After unchecking places on the front end my chrome browser spikes in mem usage as you can see.
You can see the resource growth after checking and unchecking boxes on the frontend map box:
I am not sure how this can be resolved but I am happy to try. I will go test the map with one listing to try and reduce heap size and see if the issue still occurs. From there I will install the custom map builder and test a few things.
If you have any tests I can run or better yet a fix let me know.
A 500 error is just a generic error code, if you can provide wp-admin and FTP details in a private reply i will take a look, my guess is it’s the PHP memory limit.
