Map and Custom Posts

Hello!
Just a couple of questions that I’m having an issue with

1. I am trying to set the map so that when you go to the home page it wouldn’t show the entire world. I am just focusing on Vancouver Island so I would only like Vancouver Island to show or close to it. http://www.vancouverislandsustainability.com/
2. What I would like to do is create pages for Farmers’ Markets, Farm stores etc… so that each can have their own map and main page. I have a directory page when you click on Farmers’ Market it goes to a page called Farmers’ Market which would have all the farmers’ markets and a map just on those locations. I created a custom post for Farmers’ Market, farm store.. is this is the correct method? Then would I be able to to the home page and have all the custom post categories show up? Currently, on the home page I am only able to list Farmers Market on the right side as the default.
