Map as an option

    Is there a way for the main map to be optional. In short can I setup a listing view next to a map view or does the map have to come up all the time?

    The map is added using widgets. If you don’t want the map, remove the widget.
    If I understand you correctly you want the listings page not to have the main map, but you want the map to be in the sidebar.
    Just add the GD Listings Map widget to the GD Listings Sidebar.
