Map default center

    My directory is growing and some folks have added places further away from city center. What that means is my homepage map (GD>Map) is either zoomed out causing the icons to be a mess, or zoomed in in the middle resulting in a crappy map. I’m looking for a solution where I could set a zoom level but make the default position city center, or in the alternative a way to make my icons scale down with zoom level. Thanks!

    Sorry but there is no option like that.
    Maps will always use the center of all the listings that are on the map.
    You can set the zoom level but that will not change the center of the map.

    You can use the Marker Cluster extension to make the map look a bit tidier: https://wpgeodirectory.com/downloads/marker-cluster/

    Thank you! I went ahead and got a membership, I’ve been enjoying the free product and feel like it is money well spent. Can you advise of a setting in Maker Cluster to clean up my map? Nothing I’ve tried has worked so far.

    Make sure you add the marker option to the Map element [shortcode or block ..]
