Map is not zooming after City Search

Hello,

ive a Problem with the map.
After i search for a City (for example Berlin)
the Map should “zoom” to that location.
But its doing anything.

Can you solve that problem ?

yes the widget is set to autozoom – checked it. doesnt work tho.

I can provide you access to the page if this helps.
Need to fix this really soon.

hi

what is the size of the default radius for searches?

It looks to be very wide…

If you want the search to zoom into a city and return only nearby results, you should reduce it to something between 10/30km max.
In case you can’t fix with this info, please provide wp admin credentials and we will have a look.

Hi Alphavader,

you had 3 problems.

1) instead of the map widget for listing page you had the home page map. The home page map always shows all listings for the selected location. GIven that you are not using advanced search nor the location switcher, you are always searching the everywhere location, so the home map doesn’t change.
using the listing map, it works as you wish.

2) In GeoDirectory >> General >> Search >> Grenz quadratische Abstand Gebiet X Meilen (verbessert die Suchgeschwindigkeit) you had nothing. I told you previously to use a low number. I added 30

3) Most of your places aren’t assigned to a category. At least 1 category is mandatory. Please add at least 1 category to each listing.

4) I can’t added categories from the back end. The field is missing from the edit listing form. Please fix whatever you did here…

Your backend is indeed a bit of a mess.
