Hi All,
I just had a n interesting problem surface.
I am geotagging truck dealers and in this instance I found 2 differently branded trucks sharing the same service point. One map marker has completely obscured the other’s map marker.
Just wondered if others have had experience of this?
Thinking I might slightly ‘tweak’ the geotag of one brand so that the other is visible also?
Any ideas please?
Thx
Al
October 20, 2016 at 8:48 pm #288731Hi,
when 2 listings have an identical address and lat/lon coordinates the markers will inevitably be one on top of the other. Slightly changing the position on the map for one of them 2 is the only way to go.
Thanks

October 26, 2016 at 3:48 pm #292259Hi,
I am still wrestling with the problem of importing data and the map markers being hidden by another marker.
I have a combination of problems including the above and I am not sure exactly how GD is functioning:
1) I have imported my data with a specific UK address and geocoding – I have tried this with both the box checked and unchecked under multilocations/location settings/disable google address autocomplete.
GD changes the imported address and has removed part of the post code. It will not allow me to change the geocoding to offset the map markers that are covering each other. What can/should I do please?
2) I was trying to realign the markers and, in the frontend, everytime I tick/untick a category the map zoom out; back to its original zoomed out position. This is really annoying if you are trying to do some research or planning in a certain rarea of the map as everything resets. Can this be changed to allow categories to be switched on and off without zooming out?
Thanks
Al 🙂
October 26, 2016 at 7:28 pm #292375Hi,
1) please provide a link and admin credentials and couple of examples where we can see this happening.
2) this is not possible without a customization and was never brought up by anyone before…
Thanks

did you try enabling:
Disable set address on map from changing address fields
Disable move map pin from changing address fieldsThey are multilocations options.
Thanks
October 27, 2016 at 4:18 pm #292987Hi Paolo,
I tried that but the address the changes according to when the marker is placed/dragged.
Bests

I’ll add a task for this to be looked at.

as I said, if 2 markers have same address and lat/lon they will be on top of each other and I’ve told you already what’s the only solution.
Thanks
