I feel like I’m losing my mind with this issue:
I had 3 main custom post types on my development site: National Parks, Main Streets, & Events
I tried to add another one called “History & Heritage” but whenever I added a new entry, the location would not show up on the homepage map, nor would it show on the maps on the entry page.
The custom post type was set up exactly like the other CPTs. But I could not get the maps to work. So I added another CPT called “Tourism”.
Under tourism, I created a category called “Visitor’s Centers” and added a new entry. This new entry was set up exactly like the previous one, but this time the map actually showed up!
I figured it was just a glitch and created another new CPT called “Heritage”, a category called “visitor’s center” and added a new entry, exactly like the previous one, and the map wouldn’t show up again! And the entry does not show up on the home page map!
So, now I have two exact same entries, one under the CPT “Tourism” and one under “Heritage” … the one under tourism works exactly right and the one under heritage won’t show any maps. Even though, again, everything is set up exactly the same!
Can you guys take a look at the links I’m providing and see what I mean? I feel like pulling my hair out over here.
Tourism – Visitor’s Center – B&O

Heritage – Visitor’s Center – B&O

See how the top one has the maps and the bottom doesn’t? And, again, go to the homepage and look at the map there and click on both Tourism and Heritage and see the difference.
Why is this happening?
