The listings do not show the location on the map.
See the attached screen shots.
September 28, 2016 at 3:48 pm #274609Hi,
it doesn’t work because you are using an .ico file instead of a .png file.
http://www.discoversma.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/Events.icoThe ICO file format is an image file format for computer icons in Microsoft Windows. ICO files contain one or more small images at multiple sizes and color depths, such that they may be scaled appropriately.
It works on firefox, but doesn’t work on most other browsers and it is a mistake.
Please change the event marker currently used with a png.
Thanks
September 28, 2016 at 4:42 pm #274644The link that you provided does not work. Please provide exactly where and how to change.
It worked fine until yesterday. Did something change?

September 28, 2016 at 4:49 pm #274648Hi,
go to Events >> Event categories and edit all categories that are using a .ico file instead of an image file.
Nothing has changed on our side.
Thanks
September 28, 2016 at 8:32 pm #274816Then please explain why it suddenly failed to display the location. I am not lying to you – I am sure you are not suggesting that. It was working fine last week. Something happened and I do not appreciate you claiming that it was always OK.
I want to know why it suddenly changed.

September 29, 2016 at 6:40 pm #275474I replaced the icon for “Restaurants” with a png file. Same thing – it does not show.
September 29, 2016 at 6:47 pm #275476Hi,
I’m not lying to you either, maybe Chrome has changed something and it is not showing ICO files in page content anymore and before it used to (I don’t know TBH), but ICO file are not meant to be used as web images.
The ICO file format is an image file format for computer icons in Microsoft Windows.
The only ICO file you should use on a website is the favicon that appears next to your page titles in the browser’s tabs.
All images added to a website page should ideally be jpg if no transparency is needed and png if a transparency is needed. A latter options are gifs that should be used only if an animated image is needed.
Right now you did NOT change to a png, you uploaded another ico file: http://www.discoversma.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/restaurant.ico
Thank you
September 29, 2016 at 7:37 pm #275487I changed the restaurant ico to a png. It still did not show.
September 29, 2016 at 7:39 pm #275488I also just checked on Internet explorer and they do not show.
September 29, 2016 at 7:47 pm #275490Did you clear both GD Booster cache and your browser cache after changing the icon from a ICO to a PNG?
The ICO is not supposed to work, I don’t even know why it works on Firefox.
September 29, 2016 at 8:06 pm #275492Cleared all caches and not help. What I am trying to get across is that this a a new problem. This site has been going for well over a year and this is the first time that it happened.
September 29, 2016 at 9:15 pm #275509I will go back and replace all of them with png. Thanks for the help
