    Hello,

Where can I update the placeholder text (currently “Title”) in the search input box? I know how, I’m just not sure where this is set.

    Thank you in advance!

    Hi Drew,

Thanks for your post. You can use the “translation” method to achieve this https://docs.wpgeodirectory.com/translate-core/

    Thanks!

    Hey Kor,

I’m not sure if I’m missing something, but there’s no way to change the default/placeholder text via translation. The plugin and site are in the same language already, I just want it to have a different word as a placeholder.

    Thanks!

    Hi Drew,

Thanks for your reply. Yes, that’s the best way to change a word on your GD Directory. Follow the instructions provided in that article and just replace/translate the word “Title” to something else.

    Thanks!

This word ‘Title’ in the map widget, on the GD Home map, that is what you want to change?

That is located in the core language file.

You can see additional information about translation here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/translation/overview/

Hi Alex, I have followed the above steps 3 times and it’s still not working.

    Thanks,
