Map to show listings near user

    Hi there

    We cant seem to find any documentation to change the settings for the map to display listings near the user when they load the page the map is on.

    We are using the map shortcode on the homepage of our site and would like the map to zoom into where the user is located and display listings closest to them instead of the user having to zoom in and find listings.

    Please could you let us know how to achieve this.

    That can be done with the Near Me button.

    Add the element as a shortcode or widget, it is the one called GD Location Near Me

    Clicking the Near Me button works the same way as selecting the “Near Me” option in near search field. If your site is secure, the user will be asked to share their location. After submitting a location they will be redirected to the location/near/me page and the search radius will be applied to the location page template to show listings within the radius.

    Hi There

    That’s not really what we want. We have the near me feature enabled on the search.

    What we want is for the map to to display listings near the user not for them to be redirected to a search page.

    As the person lands on the homepage we want the map to display the listings near them.

    Is there any way to achieve this?

    Not out of the box, it would require a customization outside of support.
