Hi there,
We intend to implement a workflow to build our directory where:
1. Partner user (with a discount code or other controlled access) will add unclaimed listings from the front end < needs to be the front end because we don’t want to be giving wp-admin access and they will want to be able to use the Social Importer
2. The new listing gets a full 1 year free pricing product – expecting the user (partner or contractor) uses a 100% discount voucher to do this
3. We use WPAffiliate to tie the user to the unclaimed listing
4. We market to the business added by the user via email to encourage them to claim the listing (and of course renew as a paid client in a year)
Issues with the workflow…
1. We have Paypal and Stripe – if you add a 100% discount voucher, the payment process still pops up with a $0 billing… Users will not want to add card payment details even if its for 0.
How could be allow this to be done from the front end so that any user or partner can be an affiliate and add listings for future claim for us (and share the revenue)
2. When a new listing is added, we’d like to inject the listing url and the email address associated to the listing into Mailchimp/Mandrill etc to help the process of automating the market mail sent to the business to ask them to claim their listing.
Any ideas on how we can achieve this?
I’d greatly appreciate any advice.
Many thanks, Steve.
September 1, 2017 at 10:29 am #393913Hi Steve
1. If they are not recurring listings, a 100% discount will not require the adding of any credit card details.
2. You would need to write some custom code to do that, if you want to automate it.
Thanks

Many thanks for your reply 🙂
I tested earlier with a non recurring product – when I added the voucher both the radio button options to choose Stripe or Paypal disappeared – but the button at bottom of the page stayed as “Click to Pay”.
When you clicked the button at the bottom, Stripe appeared as $0 payment…
So options go, but payment still requested..?
Kind regards, Steve

September 1, 2017 at 12:28 pm #393931I am very interested in this workflow process. Steven, can you contact me off-list at mark(at)motorsportprospects(dot)com?
Thanks.

Justmark, I’m snowed under with work right now. However to simplify the process once we have added a new default PROMOTION ONE YEAR FREE product we will keep listed for now.
This means affiliates can send people to sign up for free still without needing complexities of a voucher, and you can track affiliates easily.
Exporting the new listings and emailing them I haven’t worked out yet, but worst case scenario you can setup a mail filter to copy new listings to a folder and get an admin to go through and send the mails out for you.
Cheers, Steve.
