    I’m having this issue too.

    I have:

    • Generated a new key
    • Enabled all the appropriate APIs in Google
    • Upgraded my account with billing
    • Tried with no referrer restrictions, and proper restrictions
    • Looked at javascript console, still complaints about referrer
    • Made changes, waited 5-10 minutes, cleared caches, reloaded, still an error

Happy to provide proper credentials if someone can help, but I’ve also searched and reviewed the other posts that talk about API changes, new keys, etc.

    Thanks!

I am getting invalid username on WP Admin. FTP works. Please validate the WP credentials and repost.

    Thanks

The conflict is with WP Places.

Disabling it restores the backend editor.

I left it disabled for the moment. It did not appear to be in use.
