    Compare siteinsight.com/dublincan (the development site)
    to http://www.dublincan.org (the live site)

The listings are not showing up, although the items are still in the dashboard.

Under Places, the Place Information was not showing up but it is on the old site. I created a backup and updated the addon. After the addon was updated it gave me an error message:

WordPress database error: [Table ‘dublincan.wp_geodir_gd_place_detail’ doesn’t exist]
    UPDATE geodir_post_review gdr JOIN wp_geodir_gd_place_detail d ON gdr.post_id=d.post_id SET gdr.post_latitude = d.post_latitude, gdr.post_longitude = d.post_longitude, gdr.post_city = d.post_city, gdr.post_region=d.post_region, gdr.post_country=d.post_country WHERE gdr.post_latitude IS NULL OR gdr.post_city IS NULL

    Hi Alice,
did you convert the tables for multisite compatibility? It was a mandatory step after updating to 1.3+?

You can run the tool in GD Tools.

    Let us know,

p.s. if you have addons you should sync your account with your themetailors.com account. Now you appear as a free user.

Yes, I ran that, and I ran Sync GD Categories, too.

Also, I can see all my entries in “Places” on the backend, but when I click “View” I get a 404 error.

Also, all of the custom fields and maps and all of that are missing on the new site, compared to the old site.

We would need a link and wp admin credentials to check.

    Thanks

Hello Alice, on your live website you have GD v.1.3.5 but in your development site you have v1.2.7 which is very different in the structure. Please update (both) and once you update the one on the dev site, be sure to run the GD tools, thanks.

OK, if I update on the dev site, it won’t screw up any of my custom fields or anything, right?

OK, I ran the update on the dev site and then ran Tools and everything is good.
What is the most efficient way to move the GeoDirectory stuff to the live site again? Can I just copy a folder?
I have updated on both sites and run Tools, and on the live site I’m still not seeing my listings.

My guess is that you moved the database of the development site before running the convertion tools and some custom tables are missing.

Now that the staging site is updated and working as expected, simply do a new database backup of the staging site and import it in the development site using a tool like this: https://interconnectit.com/products/search-and-replace-for-wordpress-databases/ to search & replace the domain without breaking serialized strings.

    Let us know,

    Thx
