missing "custom menu" widget

    I’m in the process of footer menus in whoop theme and I’m following the tutorials for doing it and it says that I should have a “custom menu” widget in my widget section, but I do not see it.

    Hello,

    Thanks for writing in

    You will need to create the menu, first.

    Go to WP Menus, add a new menu, and add at least one custom link to it.

    Then go to WP > Appearance > Widget and choose to add a custom menu widget to the footer area.

    You will need to setup the widget to point to the menu you just added.

    The widget to my understanding… should already be in the widget section. But it is not.

    To clarify… a widget named “custom menu” should already be in Appearance> widget section but it is not. I would drag or name where this “custom menu” widget would be implemented in the GD footer1, GD footer 2, GD footer 3, or GD footer 4. I hope I’m explaining this correct. I’m totally new to WP.
