Missing location map when upgraded

    When the GeoDirectory core plugin is now upgraded to the latest release v1.2.7 and all these addons are then deactivated simultaneously, the location map at http://cretemix.com/location is gone.

    What’s the reason for the missing map?

    Furthermore, how to upgrade an addon in general?

    Hello, you can update addons like a normal plugin, directly from th ePlugin section in WordPress or uploading manually via the uploader or ftp.

    To see whats going on, we need login details please,

    For you to investigate the missing location map when plugin is now upgraded, the backend access data is presented in the private reply.

    For the addons to be upgraded, within the backend plugin section there is no such upgrade link for the [GeoDirectory – Avada Theme Compatibility] plugin which is found to be an older version than what’s presented within your addons download section.

    Hello, the reason you don’t see the map is because all your widgets need to be placed in the proper widget sections.

    Ive placed the home map and the listing map widgets.
    Also, you need to upgrade the addon and then activate.

    Thanks for the widgets clue!

    I believe these widgets dissappeared when the theme was set to standard WordPress theme then set back again to Avada theme. That’s a critical WordPress bug, isn’t it?

    For the above mentioned [GeoDirectory – Avada Theme Compatibility] addon to be manual upgraded as there is no auto upgrade link presented, can it then be done with a FTP addon folder replace?

    Yes, the missing widgets are due to the change of the theme.

    Yes the plugin can be overwritten via FTP but if you’re downloading from theme tailors, please wait maybe Paolo or Stiofan still have to update and sync the file, I’ll ask them and keep you posted in this thread.

    OK, you can update and overwrite the folder with the newest [GeoDirectory – Avada Theme Compatibility] plugin. 🙂
