Just set up my first GeoDirectory site this weekend. I used the Whoop theme because I assume that would be easier and cause the least trouble. Mostly everything works perfectly.
However, now that I have a basic configuration and sample data I was testing with various browsers and devices. One strange thing I noticed is that on the iPhone and iPad some pictures are missing.
First the iPad. Look at the attached screen captures. The one called landscape.png shows the listing detail properly with photos. The other file called portrait.png shows the same listing detail page, but the photos are missing.
Note that all I did was turn the iPad – I don’t even have to reload the page or anything. Turn the iPad one way, pictures. Turn it sideways, no pictures.
It looks and works exactly the same if I reload the page in each orientation. In other words, no matter what I do, those photos only appear in landscape orientation.
It happens on all listing detail pages. And it happens with 1 to 5 photos. I’ve tried this on several generations of iPad and iOS with the same result.
On the iPhone 6 I get exactly the opposite result, that is, the photos appear properly in portrait mode, but they disappear when I flip the phone sideways into landscape mode.
On the iPhone 5s it all works properly no matter how I hold the phone.
Here’s a link to the website for your own testing:

Any idea whether it’s my configuration or an actual bug in the theme?
