When i’m on the desktop version of my site it links to the add listing form perfectly, however, on the tablet and mobile it just links it to my homepage. Are there any pointers you can give me?

    Thanks,

    Sean

    Hi Sean,

I’ve just tested your Website on my mobile device and I think you’re referring to the menu link which requires you to hover. Since you can’t hover in touch devices, tapping on the parent menu item would bring to the page you specified, which is http://www.chooseaninstructor.com/driving-instructors/ . Could you try removing the link from the parent menu item and create a new child menu item for it?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

it does the same on desktop if you are logged out, because the login page is missing. Go to GD Tools and run the utility to check the GD pages. That should fix it.

Also, beware that the hosting plan you are using is not compatible because of their built in and very aggressive caching system.

You should ask them to move you to a VPS or at least a regular hosting plan, not WP managed.

    Thanks

    Hi Paolo,

That has fixed the issue. How will the hosting affect the site it seems to be working. I just contacted godaddy the company hosting it for me and this was their response…
Okay , it looks like the plugin that they are trying to use is not even blacklisted in MWP.

The current hosting should work for this plugin requirement

If you install the location manager and advance search add-ons, plenty of features won’t be working correctly, because their caching system breaks sessions.

    Thanks

Ok. They have offered to move me to a hosting package called cPanel will this work? Also they said I have to migrate it across my end does that mean I have to build the whole site again. I know it’s pretty much out of the box but the small modifications I have made have taken me a long time as it’s my first experience in building websites
    .

    Thanks,

    Hi,

yes that will work and moving the website will only require to move files and database. The website will remain unchanged.

    Thanks

p.s. you should really insist and ask them to move it for you, otherwise I’d suggest to move to a better hosting provider like cloudways. They move the website for you if you ask. (takes few minutes)

    Thanks
