    Hi,

I’d like to modify the field checking for the ‘Email’ attribute in my posts to allow string without an “@” symbol to be entered. The reason behind this is so that users can enter a business’s ‘Contact us’ page in the case that they don’t have an email listed on their website.

    Is this possible to do?

    Thanks,
    Andrew

An email is required there. The GD listing contact form cannot send emails to webpages.
Even the customer’s website contact form will send emails to an email address.
The same email address could be used.
Any email address entered here will not show up on the website at all.

If you want to add alternative contact options, you can create other custom fields. For example, you could create a URL custom field called “Contact details on customer website” or something.

    Thanks

Yeah … that’s a much better idea. I was overcomplicating it.

    Thanks!
