    Hi all,

    I have the following problem:
I want to import listings using the csv import function. I don’t have an exact address to import – I just want to import the city. I have several cities which have more than one zip code. Which zip code should I insert into the post_zip column ?
Should I create a seperate line for every zip code with the same listing if I want poeple to search for zip codes ?
Or could it be solved through custom field like you described in a later thread to me ?
I don’t know if this is possible: insert a custom field called “zip-codes” where you can enter one ore more zip codes comma seperated (like tags) and this field should be fully searchable. So if someone searches for any zip code which belongs to the same city, he only gets one liting presented.
    Is this possible ?

You will not be able to add listings using the CSV upload without full addresses, see http://docs.wpgeodirectory.com/core-general/#csv

I have tested it: you can – instead of the exact street address – insert the city twice: in the column post_address and in the post_city, too and it works (showing you no exact street in the map but the city).

But this is not the point: I have several zip codes for one city and I would like to know how a user of my website can search for it in a search field or something else. And how to insert the listings correct to allow multiple zip codes for one city.
    But thanks for your help…

A place can’t have multiple ZIP codes.

Places must have an address and even though you can use the city name if you don’t have a precise address, you can’t make a place be available in every corner of the city.

The system requires 1 unique address, zip code, lat and long coordinates.

    Thx
