The login/My account widget is not working. I have added the My account widget in the right sidebar on the home page. When you enter your credentials and click the login button, it redirects/opens the login page where you have to again enter your credentials. This should not be happening. Please advise.

All the login related items have been removed from GeoDirectory, exposing the basic functionality of WordPress.
You can add a logout link at described here:

January 11, 2019 at 12:45 am #462643I do not want to use WordPress login. When we got the theme and the plugin, we liked how it looked and functionalities. If we knew that you guys were going to be removing functionalities instead of adding, we would have made different choices.
How can we have the old My account login/out as you guys have on this website as well?
January 11, 2019 at 12:47 am #462645It is no longer a part of Supreme, but you could customize it, add it back in from the V1 version.
January 11, 2019 at 1:11 am #462647How can I do that?
You don’t mean going back completely to the V1 version, do you?January 11, 2019 at 1:14 am #462648Well, it would be a customization, so you would need to do it yourself or hire a developer.
On the practical side it would mean ripping the relevant code out of the V1 version and integrating it into the V2 version.
If you want to hire one we have a list here: https://geodirectoryexperts.comJanuary 11, 2019 at 1:19 am #462649No, if you want it identical to the old theme, you can use the functions used in the supreme V1 child theme, to add a login form to your new theme.
Otherwise you can either use one of the several free plugin for the login that can be found on wordpress.org.
Or you could use the regular WordPress login that today (unlike when we released V1) can be styled as you wish.
For example, if you search for the terms : My Account in functions.php of the old supreme child theme, you’ll find the function used to add the My Account link back to the menu. It starts around line 250.
Thanks
January 11, 2019 at 1:21 am #462651if you wish to know why we removed you can find the answer here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/add-listing-page-15/page/2/#post-462561
January 11, 2019 at 1:28 am #462652Well, that’s making everything a lot more complicated and expensive. Could you not just make an option to turn it off or on?
January 11, 2019 at 1:52 am #462653That, in essence, is what has happened. BY moving it to UsersWP everyone has the option to turn it on or turn it off. As a plugin it has a much more widespread use, also. The functionality isn’t exactly the same, but it is close.
We are improving UsersWP constantly and will make improvements with the integration for GD also.
January 11, 2019 at 2:01 am #462654The UsersWP login needs a lot of improvements. Like I said, once you log in, you cannot tell that you are logged in nor log out. Also, the Add listing leads to log in only but not registration for new users…I need this fixed ASAP. Can you guys add the V1 my account functionality to the UsersWP very soon? If we get a developer to add the functionality to V2, then we will not use UsersWP.
So I need to know which way to go.January 11, 2019 at 2:10 am #462655I’m sorry we don’t do customizations here in the forum.
The developers are actively working on improvements for UsersWP, though, as mentioned.
In the meantime you can add a different plugin from wp.org or use a different workaround, or hire a developer to create a workaround.
Instead of dropping users directly on the add-listing page, why not send them to the login or register forms first?
January 12, 2019 at 4:43 pm #462925We are actively working on improving this for release at the start of next week (Tuesday/Wednesday).

January 12, 2019 at 4:53 pm #462928Okay, great! If you guys have the V1 version functionalities of my account in the UsersWP plugin, that would be perfect. We will then wait until early next week and hope that it will all work out. Thanks for letting me know!
