Hi,
in GDv1 “logged in” and entering the “My Listings” from the frontend GD Dashboard I’m getting a listings page with additional links like “Delete”, “Edit”. GDv2 is shooting me to a simple Place Archive.

DirkMarch 24, 2018 at 5:59 pm #423155The page where you are redirected is correct, the edit and delete buttons are indeed missing and I took note of it.
Thanks
March 26, 2018 at 10:05 am #423325There is a new widget/shortcode “GD > Author Actions” that can be used to inset this into the GD Archive item page template.
Thanks,
Stiofan
March 26, 2018 at 5:18 pm #423464Hi Stiofan,
yes, but it is not working. It is just adding “Edit” and “Delete” to the last of the listing. If you have more, it is not working. It daoes not matter where the gd_author_actions shortcut is inserted. I also like to have it in the samples.
When is a documentation available, because just guessing what should be with and when is realy disappointing.
Thanks,
DirkMarch 26, 2018 at 7:15 pm #423485Hi Dirk,
It should add edit/delete to the listing, is that not what you wanted? (if not i don’t know what u mean exactly?)We are working on the new docs site just now, we should have some ready by the end of the week.
Thanks,
Stiofan
March 26, 2018 at 7:28 pm #423494Hi Stiofan,
it is exactly what I already wrote. I have more than one listing and adding this to the author page it is only showing links to edit and delete of the last listing.
March 27, 2018 at 8:39 am #423590You would add that to the page “GD Archive Item — GD Archive Item template”

March 27, 2018 at 9:16 am #423596Stiofan,
I’m giving up with the testing as it is not clear how it should work and it is not on my side to always guess. This is waste of time.
It is not possible to test the beta in this state without a documentation. Sorry.
Best,
DirkMarch 27, 2018 at 10:05 am #423603Hi Dirk,
I am sorry to hear that, we will have some docs up soon.
For this item, you want to edit the “Archive item” not the “Archive” page, you want these links for all items, i think that makes sense?
Thanks,
Stiofan
March 27, 2018 at 12:43 pm #423620Hi Stiofan,
At least it is a bug that you can specify this out of the loop and let you edit or delete the last item of the loop.
But I’m more than fustrated with the state of the beta.

DirkMarch 27, 2018 at 1:47 pm #423621Hi Dirk,
Its just a shortcode used in the wrong place, maybe we should hide that from being selected on that page.
I am sorry you are getting frustrated, you have been a great help so far, it would be ashame to lose your contributions from the testing.
What exactly is frustrating you? If its frustration over finding things maybe we could setup some instant messaging (skype/slack) so i can answer any questions quickly?
Thanks,
Stiofan

March 29, 2018 at 3:42 am #423959Hi Dirk,
You are doing us all a massive favour by road testing V2. You clearly are experienced and know what you are doing with GeoDirectory, and I can see that your testing and input is valuable in assisting Stiofan, Paolo, Guut, Alex, Kor and others of the GeoDir team to get V2 alive and functioning ASAP.
Dirk, you and others are doing what I can’t do. And I for one really appreciate everyone’s time and effort. If you are able too, hang in there with the road testing of V2.
Also, if you live in Melbourne Australia, please let me buy you a beer.
Cheers
ChrisMarch 29, 2018 at 9:38 am #423992Thanks for your comments Chris 🙂
I will also try and make a GDv2 run through video in the next few days that might help with things.
Thanks,
Stiofan
