MySQL use too much memory

    Hi,

    I don’t have traffic yet and now MySQL use too much ram memory and slows down website.
    Sometimes website crash.
    How can we resolve this to reduce the use of ram memory?

    I search your forum and others have same problem.

    What sort of hosting are you on?

    We normally suggest to start at least with a decent VPS (virtual private server), with 2GB of RAM.
    The best performances for a GD site are to be expected on dedicated servers with 8GB of RAM or more.

    I am comparing the 2 sites disk usage. Why MySQL current Modern theme use 4x the Ram usage?

    Both have similar about of data.

    The difference is the Themes used. Is it Modern theme use more Ram usage?

    Disk space used by MySQL is the amount of data stored in your database, it has nothing to do with RAM. RAM is what is needed to process that data.

    Cloudways is a good host that can grow with your website(s), start with the 1GB RAM there if you like, it is easy to upgrade if you need it. See https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/server-requirements/#suggest
