navigation – stay on previus selection when back home

    Hello

    I’m using “geo travel theme”
    when looking to demo at
    http://geotravel.wpgeothemes.com/
    after selecting a city in GD navigation selector – when going back to home page – navigation selector in menu is going back to “change location”
    in my case
    msmb.yaaglh.com
    when i do the same and i’m going back to home page, Navigation selector keep my previus selection.

    Something wrong in my set up i guess?

    Hello Yves,
    tried on three browsers (chrome firefox and safari) and Im not able to replicate the issue…
    If I go directly to a city I will see the map for that city.

    Please try to delete your cache.

    Thanks for your answer, perhaps my explainations were not very clear and it seems that you do not answer exactly my question.

    i do use chrome – and i have now deleted and desactivated my cache.

    My probleme is not that i’not going directly to the city map i do select – this is working perfectly 🙂

    My problem is that AFTER acceding to the city map i do select- well – i do come back to my home page – AND – when i’m back to my home page i still do see my previusly selected city in the menu instead of generic “change location”

    this is not the way demo geo travel works after comming back from selected city map page – home page do show generic “change location”

    Hi, sorry Yves, my answer was a bit in a rush 🙂

    to be honest, I always thought that this behavior was the normal way…it also happens on my demo site and on http://wpgeo.directory

    The location is set on a session, so only the first time you will see the Everywhere location on the homepage, then you set the location and it remains until you change it to another one, or you will be back on Everywhere.
    I’ll ask to Paolo and let you know.

    juste one more comment :

    as geo travel is setup in your geotravel demo – and also in my case -i mean without map in home page – -it is very logical for home page to always show generic “change location” –
    WHY:
    because there is no map …then no place selection in the user mind …. map destination is choseen and then called from the home page

    The demo websites at http://wpgeothemes.com are running on multisite and there are currently compatibility issues. Also the installation is running on hosting at WPEngine which doesn’t support sessions. Your website is showing the correct behaviour 🙂
