Near and Search by distance not working together

For example:

i set near by in global>subtab>search – 100km
i create Search by Distance with 100km, 200km, […..] 1000km

If i enter the city name i have all listing around it (near ) – 100km 🙂 – works.

if i change Search by distance to 1000km – link is changing to snear=&s=+&dist=1000
and it not take any result.

I still have all listing around 100km.
