Could domeone explain how this is set up because i have tried evrything and nothing happens
December 17, 2015 at 11:29 am #64204If you tick “Wish to enable neighbourhoods ?” at GD > Multilocations, then you need to add the neighbourhoods to the cities at GD > Multilocations > Manage locations. There you will see an option next to every city to add the neighborhoods.
December 17, 2015 at 12:39 pm #64216Ok find that part now, but when i add U.S new orleans neighborhood it does not show correct? do i need anything special to show correct? like i put Algiers which is a neighborhood of new orleans louisiana and it show in philidelphia ?
December 17, 2015 at 12:46 pm #64218I am not sure where you see that. But it shows correct in the submission form, see images.
December 17, 2015 at 12:53 pm #64222when i add it , it show wrong on the map, so i deleted it
December 17, 2015 at 1:02 pm #64225Now look at it, I added them back and one algiers shows in algiers, which is no where near new orleans louisiana
and the other one Broardmoor shows in davao cityDecember 17, 2015 at 1:08 pm #64228Neighbourhoods are not used to set a location on the map, they are not part of the Google Map API system. It is only used to categorise your locations in more detail if you wish to do that.
I don’t know how you are doing it, but if I choose US > Louisiana > New Orleans and a street address, and then “set on map” that it where it moves the marker then. You only select the neighbourhood only after you set the marker.
December 17, 2015 at 1:17 pm #64232i am adding the neighborhood and the marker moves then i set on map and they work, but for some it show wrong before i even set on map ? so am i doing it wrong?
and another question do i have to register google API?December 17, 2015 at 1:23 pm #64236There is no need to register the google API.
The map will open at your default location, the user needs to change the address.December 17, 2015 at 3:36 pm #64245so am i doing it wrong? if i leave it at wrong place showing then when i add it to dteailed page for certain places it will not show up there and when they click the text it will take them to somewhere around the world?
December 17, 2015 at 9:28 pm #64291What I mean is that when a new user opens the Add Listing form, the map will normally show in your default location. The user needs to make sure the address and the map location is correct.
You do that by:1. Using the Google address autocomplete in the address field, and when you select the correct address, the marker will move. Then just select the neighbourhood manually.
Try it by starting to type “Wilson Drive New Orleans, LA, United States”.2. Enter an address in the address field, select a country, select a region and select a city.
Then click “set on map”. Then just select the neighbourhood manually.
Try it after refreshing the Add Listing form.3. Drag the map marker on the map until it is on the right location. Check the street name and select the neighbourhood manually.
December 18, 2015 at 6:12 am #64323ok i will figure something out
